Zayed Khan shared his fond memories of shooting with Shah Rukh Khan for Farah Khan’s directorial debut, Main Hoon Na.
After making his acting debut with Sangeeth Sivan’s romantic thriller, Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne in 2003, Zayed Khan got the opportunity to share screen space with Bollywood’s Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan in his second film, Maine Hoon Na which marked the directorial debut of Farah Khan.
In an interview with Rohit Roy for RiteBite Maz Protein TV, Zayed shared his experience of working with King Khan, and also lauded him for his professionalism and support.
The actor said, “Shah Rukh Khan is such a well-prepared actor. He is an ocean of insight. When you are with him, you don’t feel that he is pressuring you to perform as well as he is. What he is doing is, he is always observing and he is giving you his best back.”

Reminiscing their fun times together on the film’s set, Zayed revealed that they often played video games post shoot. He recalled, “We used to play a lot of video games together. He is a full-on game geek. He hated the fact that I used to beat him in FIFA 2000. After pack up, we would play all night until he won.”
Further, Zayed also shared an anecdote about how Shah Rukh Khan helped him to prepare for a long monologue for a scene involving Kirron Kher. The actor candidly admitted that he initially struggled with the scene, and the atmosphere on the set dropped. That’s when Shah Rukh stepped in to help him rehearse, which gave him the confidence to nail that scene.
“Shah Rukh taught me a valuable lesson in life: it’s not about competition but about preparation. Always prepare thoroughly for your scenes,” the actor said in the interview.
Main Hoon Na which released in 2004, starred Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan, Amrita Rao and Suniel Shetty in pivotal roles. The film revolves around an army major who goes undercover as a college student for personal and professional reasons. Main Hoon Na is considered to be one of the memorable films in Zayed’s career. Currently, the actor is gearing up for his OTT debut with The Film That Never Was.
