Sunny Deol, in a new interview, shared that Shah Rukh Khan called him up and congratulated him for Gadar 2’s success before watching the film. He also addressed his ‘feud’ with the Bollywood superstar.
Sunny Deol’s recent interview with a leading portal has confirmed that all’s well between him and Bollywood’s Badshah Shah Rukh Khan. The actor who is currently riding high on the success of his latest release, Gadar 2, shared that SRK called him and congratulated him for the film’s humongous success.
Sunny told Times Now, “He (Shah Rukh Khan) had seen this film and before that, he called me up and wished me and he was so happy, he told me I am so happy, you genuinely deserve it and I said thank you.”
He also added that he spoke to Shah Rukh’s wife Gauri Khan and added, “I spoke to his wife and son and he said that tonight we’re going to watch the film. And I said great. And I think after that he has seen it and tweeted about it.”

For the unversed, a few days ago, during an #AskSRK session, a fan asked King Khan if he has watched Gadar 2. In response, the Bollywood star wrote, “Yeah loved it.”
Sunny also addressed his changing equation with Shah Rukh Khan and said, “Of the past issues or whatever they were, I say, time heals everything and we move ahead. That’s how it should be.”
Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan had shared screen space in Yash Chopra’s Darr in 1993. Later, it was alleged by the media that the two stars had a massive fall-out. Years later, in an ‘Aap Ki Aadalat’ episode, Sunny admitted that he was unhappy with the way Shah Rukh Khan’s negative character was glorified in Darr. On being asked about not being talking terms with him for 16 years, the Gadar 2 actor had clarified that he and SRK never ran into each other because he doesn’t socialise much.
Cut to present, it looks like there’s no more bad blood between the two Bollywood superstars. Also, both of them have delivered two of Hindi cinema’s highest grossing films this year with Pathaan and Gadar 2.
