Esha Deol express her happiness over the success of her brother Sunny Deol’s latest release Gadar 2.
After more than two decades, Sunny Deol finally returned back as Tara Singh on the big screen in Anil Sharma’s Gadar 2 with Ameesha Patel reprising the role of his lady love Sakina. The action drama also featured Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur in pivotal roles.
Gadar 2 upon hitting the theatres took the box office by storm. In its second week of release, the film continues to have a strong hold at the ticket windows and has minted Rs 419.10 crore as of now. Many celebrities like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Dulquer Salmaan, Kangana Ranaut and Karan Johar, amongst others have congratulated the team upon its humongous success.
Meanwhile, Esha Deol recently hosted a special screening of Gadar 2. The event marked a heartwarming reunion of the Dhoom actress with sister Ahana Deol and brothers Bobby and Sunny Deol. Later, in a chat with India Today, Esha opened up on watching Gadar 2 and said that she is happy with its success.
The actress told the publication, “I was waiting to watch the film. I knew how much Bhaiya had been shooting for it and it really meant a lot to him. And when it is doing so well, we are all equally happy for him and it is well deserved. Only Sunny Deol can do what he did in a film like Gadar 2.”
Meanwhile, Esha also has another reason to celebrate as her short film Ek Dua received a Special Mention in the category of Non-Feature Films at the 69th National Film Awards.
