Dharmendra, in a recent interview, said that he and his actor-sons Sunny and Bobby Deol don’t market themselves and believe in letting their work speak for them.

Veteran actor Dharmendra has some incredible work to his credit in his career spanning over six decades. His sons, Sunny and Bobby are renowned actors in Hindi cinema. However, Dharmendra still feels that despite the success, their family has never been given enough due by the industry.

The Sholay star said that his family doesn’t market themselves and believe in letting their work speak for them instead. Speaking about his elder son Sunny Deol, he said that the actor doesn’t brag about himself despite being part of the two biggest blockbusters.

Dharmendra was quoted as saying by Times Now, “Our family is not into marketing itself. We have always believed in letting our work speak for us. Sunny is in two of the biggest blockbusters of all times. You will never hear him talking about his achievements.” He also mentioned that his other son, Bobby Deol is also doing well for himself.

Dharmendra said that the love of their fans is enough to keep them going, and they don’t need the industry to acknowledge them. “My family has never been given our due. We don’t mind. The love of our fans is enough fuel to keep us going. We don’t need the industry to acknowledge us.” He further pointed out that he didn’t receive any awards for his film, Satyakam, which was lauded by all.

Meanwhile, it’s double celebrations for the Deols as Dharmendra’s last release Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 have set the cash registers ringing at the box office. In fact, Gadar 2, has already crossed Rs 300-crore mark and continues to receive love from the audience.

Speaking about the success of both the films, Dharmendra said that he must have done something right in his life to receive so much happiness at his age.
