Romiit Raaj confirmed his exit from one of Star Plus’ longest running shows, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
For those hooked to one of Star Plus’ longest running TV soaps Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, here’s the latest update on the show. Actor Romiit Raaj who is currently essaying the role of Rohit Poddar, the lead actor Rohit Purohit aka Armaan’s younger sibling, is all set to mark his exit from Rajan Shahi’s show.
Confirming the latest development, Romiit told Zoom, “My Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’s journey has been closest to my heart. I loved each scene so much. Every dialogue was spoken from the heart. I knew it was going to be a short journey, and I cherished every moment.”
He continued, “I am eternally grateful to Rajan Sir for such an amazing opportunity to entertain my fans and well-wishers. Big thank you to YRKKH fans for loving me so much and making this journey so special. I am looking forward to new beginnings.”
According to reports, Romiit has already wrapped up filming his final episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and is now looking forward to exploring new opportunities in the television industry. Initially his track in the show was supposed to last for only two months. But it received an extension as the story progressed and lasted for nine months.
Buzz is that Romiit’s character Rohit will be killed in an accident, leading to a major shift in the dynamics between Abhira (Samridhi Shukla) and Ruhi (Garvita Sadhwani).
For the unversed, Romit Raaj had replaced Shivam Khajuria as Rohit in the show in July 2024.
