Triptii Dimri opened up on sharing screen space with one of her favourite actors, Vidya Balan, and also said that she couldn’t believe it when she was offered Kartik Aaryan-led Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
Who can forget Vidya Balan’s spine-chilling act as Manjulika in Priyadarshan’s 2007 psychological thriller, Bhool Bhulaiyaa! The actress absolutely nailed that role in the film. 17 years later, Vidya is all set to star in the third installment of this popular franchise, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 headlined by Kartik Aaryan.
While it’s yet to be seen if Vidya will be returning back as Manjulika, it’s confirmed that Kartik Aaryan is reprising his role of Rooh Baba from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022). The film also features Triptii Dimri, and if reports are to be believed, Bollywood’s ‘dhak dhak’ girl also has a cameo in this horror comedy.
Recently while speaking at the India Today conclave, Triptii shared that she couldn’t believe it when she was offered a role in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. She also talked about her experience of working with Vidya Balan on this film.
Triptii said, “It’s a wonderful film and an incredible franchise. I couldn’t believe it when I was offered the role—it was a dream come true! I can’t give away any spoilers, but Anees has directed it brilliantly. Kartik is amazing, and working with Vidya Balan, one of my favourites, was such a pleasure. I used to watch her perform on set in awe.”
Further, at the conclave, Triptii also revealed her dream role, and said that she would love to play a mythological character on screen.
“I would love to portray a mythological character. The Palace of Illusions is one of my favourite books. It is written from the point of view of Draupadi in Mahabharata. If something like that comes my way, then I would love to do it. I’m also drawn to biopics of iconic actresses—I’m a huge fan of Jaya Bachchan, Meena Kumari and Madhubala,” she told the audience.
Besides Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Triptii Dimri will also be seen in Raj Shaandilyaa’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video in which she is paired opposite Rajkummar Rao.
