Triptii Dimri recalled how she was tense while performing a challenging scene with her co-star Ranbir Kapoor for Animal.
Triptii Dimri took the nation by storm with her extended cameo act in Ranbir Kapoor’s blockbuster film Animal. Though the actress had previously churned out impressive performances in films like Laila Majnu, Qala and Bulbbul, it was this Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial that marked her ‘hit’ entry in mainstream Hindi cinema.
The actress recently graced YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast wherein she was asked to share her experience of working with Ranbir Kapoor on this film. In response, the actress emphasized, “As an actor, you have to be very calm and secure as a person. When you’re a good person, if you believe in helping others, that makes a big difference. And I felt that with Ranbir.”
She then went on to narrate how the ‘Tamasha’ actor helped her to pull off a challenging scene when she kept ‘flubbing’ her lines as she was tense. In the film, this scene arrives at a juncture where Triptii’s character Zoya confesses to Ranvijay (Ranbir Kapoor) about her being a mole.
Triptii shared, “I remember, during my big confession scene, I was under extreme performance pressure that day. I kept flubbing my lines over and over again. An actor I’ve admired all my life is standing in front of me… We shot this scene in the early days, but something was off. Normally, I’m able to cry on cue, but that day, I just couldn’t. All I needed was a little support, and that’s what Ranbir gave me.”
The ‘Laila Majnu’ actor said that despite having four scenes scheduled for that day, they filmed only one, with Ranbir reassuring her to work at her at her own pace.
Triptii said, “I felt safe, I felt I could be myself and experiment with my craft. I didn’t have the fear of messing up”. She further described Ranbir as a ‘curious’ person who is always eager to learn more about people.
Meanwhile, Triptii was recently seen in Raaj Shaandilyaa’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video alongside Rajkummar Rao and Mallika Sherawat.
