Sunny Leone recalled her ‘nerve-wrecking’ moment when she walked into Anurag Kashyap’s office to audition for Kennedy and found the entire office sitting there.
Sunny Leone’s upcoming film, Kennedy is all set to premier at Cannes Film Festival this year and the actress is ‘beyond excited’ about it. Recently, while chatting with a leading publication, the actress spilled the beans about how she bagged the project.
Sunny revealed that the film’s director Anurag Kashyap called her up and told her that he would like her to audition for Charlie’s role in the film.
She told Indian Express, “I was in shock that he called me and wanted me to audition. There is a common misconception that I am not comfortable with auditioning. So, I said that I would absolutely love to get the opportunity and I have no issues with auditioning at all, especially since I have to believe in myself that I can pull this off.”
Recalling her ‘nerve-wracking’ audition, the ‘Raees’ actress shared that she was extremely nervous when she walked into Anurag’s office and found his entire office crew sitting for her audition.
“I was extremely nervous when I walked into his office, he had his entire office, his entire crew sitting for the audition. It was this idea of possibly getting rejected and that maybe I was not ready for that emotionally. But I put my best foot forward and Rahul (Bhat) was there as well and it went really well, he is so nice. I always tell Anurag that I am so thankful that he picked up the phone and called, that doesn’t happen very often. So, it was a really proud moment to just be a part of the film,” the portal quoted Sunny as saying.
Kennedy which also features Rahul Bhat in a pivotal role, will be screened in ‘Out Of Competition’ section at Cannes this year.
