Shruti Haasan said that she would be excited to share screen space with her superstar-father Kamal Haasan if any right opportunity comes their way.
Shruti Haasan is known to be quite active on social media. The actress often conducts ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Instagram to connect with her fans. Recently, during one such AMA session, Shruti responded to a user’s query about working with her superstar-dad Kamal Haasan.
The Waltair Veerayya star said that she would be excited to collaborate with her father if any right opportunity comes their way. Further, Shruti also revealed that they had earlier worked together in a project which remains unfinished till date.
Shruti took to her Instagram stories and posted a reply that read, “It’s an unfulfilled dream, for sure. We once started a project, but we didn’t complete it, which was really heartbreaking. But, definitely, in the future, it will be my honor if I get an opportunity to work with my father. So, I’m really excited for the future. Appa is now the busiest actor. So, it totally depends on him. But, I would be so excited.”
For the unversed, the project that Shruti was referring here is Sabaash Naidu, a spin-off of the character Balram Naidu, the RAW operative from Kamal Haasan’s 2008 film Dasavathaaram. The makers had wrapped the first schedule of this film in Los Angeles, California after which the production was put on hold. Reportedly, Shruti’s sister Akshara was an assistant director on this film.
Cut to present, Shruti will next be seen in Prashanth Neel’s upcoming film Salaar co-starring Prabhas and Prithviraj. Her father Kamal Haasan, on the other hand, has Shankar’s Indian 2 in the pipeline.
