RRR star Ram Charan said that he wants to explore India more when asked about his Hollywood plans.
Recently, there were reports doing the rounds in the media that Telugu star Ram Charan is gearing up for his debut in the west and is already in talks with a few Hollywood directors and producers for the same.
Now, the RRR star has spilled the beans about his Hollywood plans at an event. The actor said that he is currently rooted in India and doesn’t want to travel for filming anywhere else for the movie unless the producer or director is from Hollywood.
“I want to explore India more and I don’t think I would want to travel anywhere else for my films unless the producer or director is from Hollywood. I want to stick to my culture. I want to educate that our Indian sentiments are so strong. Our culture is so strong. There’s a lot of dignity in our stories. Nowadays, when you see it, it’s not South Indian or North Indian movie, it’s about Indian mitti ka (soil’s) stories. These stories are finally coming out,” Ram said at the press conference.
The actor was speaking at the G20 Summit in Kashmir where he was one of the guests. While participating in a conversation about Indian film tourism, Ram Charan addressed this topic about his Hollywood debut.
Ram Charan is still reeling from the success of his film, SS Rajamouli’s RRR which made the nation proud by winning an award for Best Original Song at the Golden Globes and the Oscars this year. The actor will next be seen in Shankar’s upcoming film, Game Changer alongside Kiara Advani. He is also collaborating with Buchi Babu Sana for a movie.
