Rajkummar Rao said he wants people to enjoy watching his films and added that the feeling of a good film performing well at the box office is unmatchable.
Rajkummar Rao is currently riding high on the success of his last release Stree 2 co-starring Shraddha Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi and Abhishek Banerjee. The horror comedy shattered all records at the box office, and achieved the milestone of being the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time.
Rajkummar, in a new interview with India Today, said that it’s important for him to be a part of good films as he wants people to cherish his work.
The actor said, “As an actor, for me, the most important thing is that the film has to be good. I should be part of films that are cherished and loved by the people who watch it. Whether those people watching my films are two or two lakh, they eventually have to enjoy watching my film and that’s what ultimately matters to me, as I should be proud of the film.”

He also reflected on the success of Stree 2, and continued, “What certainly can’t be matched is the feeling of a good film doing exceptionally well at the box office too. This feeling is the most gratifying because, as an actor, you are aware that you have delivered a good performance. The film has turned out to be amazing and now when it’s open for the audiences, they have really enjoyed it too – this feeling then is surreal.”
Rajkummar Rao is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming film, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video in which he is paired opposite Triptii Dimri for the first time. The Raaj Shaandilyaa directorial will be locking horns with Vasan Bala’s Jigra, starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, in cinema halls on October 11.
