Raghav Juyal spoke about how he had to push his own boundaries while playing an intense character in Siddhant Chaturvedi’s Yudhra.

Known for his impressive slo-mo dance moves, Raghav Juyal surprised everyone with his menacing act in Lakshya starrer Kill, which was touted to be India’s most violent film. After winning praise for that film, he recently unleashed his dark side once again for his latest release, Siddhant Chaturvedi starrer Yudhra.

In a recent chat with Mid-day, Raghav shared that playing such a dark character took a toil on him so much that he had to ‘disconnect and heal’.

Speaking about his dark and intense character in Yudhra was a unique experience for him, the ‘ABCD 2’ actor shared, “I had to push my own boundaries. I engaged in behaviour that was far from my usual self. This process was intense and, at times, unsettling. After we wrapped up the shoot, I realised how much the role had impacted me on a psychological level. I felt an overwhelming need to disconnect and heal.”

He continued, “My family noticed the change in my behaviour and was concerned. It made me realise how deeply I had immersed myself in the character. This was the first time I attempted a role like this, even though I had done Kill. It was a challenging but rewarding experience.”

Helmed by Ravi Udyawar, Yudhra revolves around a hot-headed ex-prisoner who sets out to bring down a powerful drug syndicate. The action thriller marks the Bollywood debut of Malavika Mohanan, and also stars Gajraj Rao and Ram Kapoor. The Siddhant Chaturvedi starrer collected Rs 4.5 Crore nett in his opening weekend.
