Prabhudheva, the man behind Hrithik Roshan’s breath-taking dance moves in the iconic ‘Main Aisa Kyun Hoon’ from Lakshya, shared some interesting trivia about the song.
Prabhudheva has choreographed many iconic songs in his career. One of them is Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Main Aisa Kyun Hoon’ from Farhan Akhtar’s 2004 war film, Lakshya for which he even picked up his second ‘National Film Award for Best Choreography’.
Recently, in an interview with O2 India, Prabhudheva walked down the memory lane and shared some interesting trivia about this number.
The choreographer revealed that Farhan Akhtar had booked his dates one year in advance. He said that he was quite shocked when he saw how intricately the filmmaker had planned the entire shoot.
He was all praise for the film’s leading man and told the portal, “Hrithik was magical. Shankar Mahadevan’s composition was fantastic. As I kept listening to it, it kept growing on me. That was the unique quality of that song. Full credit must be given to Hrithik. Whatever I did, looked nice on screen. He was too good.”
Further, Prabhudheva revealed that he finished the entire choreography of the song in just one hour. According to him, the song was so inspiring that he could visualize it perfectly in his mind and had to only execute it for the camera.
“We blocked it for one hour. Nobody would believe me. I am saying this on record for the first time. I did it in one hour,” said the man who has hits like ‘Kay Sera Sera’ and ‘Rowdy Baby’ to his credit.
He further added that working with a non-Indian cinematographer like Christopher Popp on this track was a ‘unique’ experience.
Set against the backdrop of 1999 Kargil War, Lakshya revolves around a spoiled and irresponsible man who proves his mettle after becoming an army officer. The coming-of-age war film also stars Preity Zinta, Amitabh Bachchan and Om Puri.
