Pooja Hegde, who is currently busy with the promotions of her upcoming film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, opened up on the box-office failure of her last release, Cirkus.
Pooja Hegde’s last release, Rohit Shetty directorial Cirkus, had fared miserably at the box-office with a lifetime collection of just Rs 35.65 Crore. Based on William Shakespeare’s popular play, ‘The Comedy Of Errors,’ the entertainer featured an ensemble cast which included names like Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Varun Sharma, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sanjai Mishra, Johnny Lever, Brijendra Kala, Vrajesh Hirjee, Tiku Talsania, Sulbha Arya and Siddharth Jadhav.
Upon its release, the Ranveer Singh-led film was panned by the critics and the audience alike. In a recent interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, actress Pooja Hegde reacted to Cirkus’ failure.
When asked if she was upset after her film flopped, the Beast actress replied, “Did it upset me? Yes, a little bit, because it is my baby at the end of the day. But the way I look at it, I only learnt from it. I got to work with Rohit Shetty and comedy legends like Johnny Lever, Sanjai Mishra. So, I think overall, it was a great thing, and people really appreciated me in the film. And I love Rohit sir as a person. He is a great person to deal with and shoot with. So overall, I think I came out a winner.”
Currently, Pooja Hegde is busy with the promotions of her upcoming film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan in which she is paired opposite Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The film also marks the big screen debut of Shehnaaz Gill and Palak Tiwari.
