Mani Ratnam’s star-studded ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ is enjoying a fantastic run at the box office.
Mani Ratnam’s epic drama, Ponniyin Selvan 2 which released last week, has given the team a reason to go cheers. The film based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s popular novel by the same name, is enjoying a happy run at the box office. After raking in a solid opening weekend, the film also passed the Monday test with flying colours.
According to a report in Sacnilk, Ponniyin Selvan 2 collected Rs 23.25 Crore on Day 4 and crossed Rs 100 Crore mark. The total four-day box office collection now stands at Rs 103.75 Crore (nett). Speaking about its Day 4 collection language wise, Ponniyin Selvan 2 collected Rs 18.46 Crore in Tamil, Rs 1.9 Crore in Hindi, Rs 1.1 Crore in Malayalam, Rs 1.75 Crore in Telugu and Rs 0.04 Crore in Kannada).
Earlier, the Mani Ratnam directorial had minted Rs 24 Crore on Day 1, Rs 26.20 Crore on Day 2 and Rs 30.30 Crore on Day 3.

Produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions, Ponniyin Selvan 2 boosts of a stellar star cast which comprises of names like Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, Sobhita Dhulipala and Aishwarya Lekshmi. The historical epic has music by AR Rahman, cinematography by Ravi Varman and editing by A Sreekar Prasad.
