Palak Tiwari, in a new interview, opened up on the pressure that comes with being a part of new generation actors in the film industry.
Palak Tiwari made her big screen debut with Salman Khan-Venkatesh starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (2023). Now, the actress is gearing up for the release of her next- Siddhant Kumar Sachdev’s upcoming horror comedy The Bhootnii.
In her recent interview with India Today, Palak opened up on the pressure and criticism faced by the new generation of actors in current times.
Admitting that she is bit scared about the uncertainty looming over Bollywood, the actress told the publication, “But also, I feel like I believe in my generation. I really do believe in us, and I feel like we will get our audiences to love us at some point. It might take us longer than it did for previous generations, but I just truly believe in my heart that… us actors and us filmmakers right now love cinema as much as you do.”

Palak accepted that everyone right now is confused, but also added, “We want the same things, and it might take us longer than our predecessors, because they were brilliant. But hopefully we’ll get there.”
Further admitting that the feedback or criticism than they get is harsher than ever, she continued, “The feedback or the criticism is harsher than ever. I get that audiences are frustrated. I think we, as actors, are frustrated as well.”
In the same interview, Palak also got candid about how she picks up projects.
“With my first film, I didn’t know what I wanted. I just wanted to be out there. And I’m so grateful for Salman sir. People can say whatever they want, I would have done it no other way. I learned what it means to truly be an actor, and a successful one,” the actress told the news portal.
Further, she was also all praise for Bollywood superstar Salman Khan with whom she shared screen space with in her debut film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
Palak was quoted as saying, “He’s just so hardworking, and I’ve learned so much from him. These are values I’ll carry with me till the day I die. It was literally invaluable to me that I was with him for my first film.”
Speaking about how her next, The Bhootnii was about growth, Palak shared, “I wanted to show my prowess a little bit more—how much I’ve developed so far—and I got that with The Bhootnii and Siddhant Sachdev. I wanted somebody to really see me and say, ‘Hey, I’m looking at you.’”
She added, “It’s a frustrating time in the world. But I think 2025 will be a great year for cinema—and for all of us in general. There’s a lot to Bollywood that still hasn’t been explored. We have a deep legacy behind us, but I think a new Bollywood will find its place as well. At this point, as a new artist, I know I want to do everything. All kinds of work. I’m there. Call me.
Coming back to The Bhootnii, besides Palak Tiwari, the film also features Sanjay Dutt, Mouni Roy and Sunny Singh.
