Neil Bhatt of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, recently talked about the challenges of his role in this TV soap and why his character Virat holds a special place in his heart.

    Neil-Bhatt-News

Neil Bhatt, known for TV shows like 12/24 Karol Bagh and Gulaal, gained immense popularity with his character DCP Virat Chauhan in Star Plus’ daily, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin (GHKKPM). The love triangle continues to rule the TRP charts with its twists and turns.

Lately, there have been reports doing the rounds on social media about GHKKPM taking a leap. Amid this, Neil Bhatt, in a chat with India Forums, reflected upon his journey as Virat, and spoke about the challenges and rewards of portraying such a role on screen.

The actor said that looking back at the entire journey, a broad smile adorns his face as this show has bestowed a lot upon him and that he is genuinely content and grateful about it.

On being asked about the invaluable gift his character Virat has offered him, Neil shared that he neither wishes to escape or dismiss the fact that GHKKPM has provided him with significant recognition.

“Portraying Virat has been an artistically demanding experience, as winning the audience’s favour and maintaining their support for an extended period with a character like Virat, who constantly wrestles with moral dilemmas, is an arduous task. Such lead roles seldom feature characters like Virat, who are portrayed as fallible human beings rather than infallible superheroes. This realistic and relatable aspect of Virat appealed to me greatly. He commits mistakes, sometimes comprehends them, while other times fails to grasp their implications,” the actor told the portal.

He further added, “Portraying such a character proves to be exceptionally challenging, and thus, this role holds a special place in my heart, as it has enriched me significantly.”

Besides Neil Bhatt, GHKKPM also stars Ayesha Singh as Dr Sai and Harshad Arora as Dr Satya. Aishwarya Sharma who portrayed the role of Pakhi bid the show goodbye last month.
