Naga Chaitanya opened up on the debacle of Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha in one of his recent interviews.
Naga Chaitanya, a known face in the Telugu film industry, forayed into Bollywood with Aamir Khan-Kareena Kapoor Khan’s 2022 film Laal Singh Chaddha. Unfortunately, the Advait Chandan directorial failed to excite the audience upon its release and fared poorly at the box office.
Recently, in an interview with India Today, Naga Chaitanya who essayed the role of Bala, addressed the film’s debacle. He said that he has no regrets about taking up the Aamir Khan starrer and added that he took away a lot of things from that film.
The ‘Custody’ star told the publication, “If you want me to play a Dootha [messenger] and predict that the film (Laal Singh Chaddha) wouldn’t have worked, and (then ask me), will you do it? I would still do it because there is so much I took away from that film and working with Aamir sir. No regrets at all. I am so happy that I did it.”
Pointing out at how failures and successes are a part of life, he continued, “Honestly, life is full of ups and downs. It is important to introspect both your success and failure, but never look back. Just move on.”
Chay further added that he always wanted to experiment with different genres and hence feels extremely happy to be given this opportunity.
Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya recently made his OTT debut with Vikram K Kumar’s supernatural thriller series Dootha co-starring Priya Bhavani Shankar, Parvathy Thiruvothu and Prachi Desai. The web series is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
