If reports are to be believed, Keerthy Suresh is gearing up to make her debut in Hindi cinema with Varun Dhawan-Atlee’s upcoming action entertainer.
Keerthy Suresh was supposed to make her debut in Hindi cinema with Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan. Unfortunately, the actress exited the film owing to date issues and that role was eventually bagged by Priyamani. We now hear that another big-budget Bollywood film has come Keerthy’s way.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, the Dasara star has been roped in to play the female lead in Varun Dhawan-Atlee’s upcoming action entertainer which has been tentatively titled as #VD18. The film will be helmed by Tamil filmmaker Kalees.
The publication quoted a source close to the development as saying, “Keerthy was looking for certain elements in her Bollywood launch vehicle, and this Varun Dhawan film perfectly aligns with her preferences. She will portray a strong and glamorous character in this commercial flick filled with emotions, drama, and action. After establishing herself down South with her exceptional acting prowess and natural charm, Keerthy is all set to spread her wings pan-India, and #VD18 is just the first step towards that.”
The source further added that this movie will feature one more actress, the casting for which is still underway. Buzz is that Varun will be essaying the role of a police officer in this film which will reportedly hit the shooting floors next month in Mumbai. The report stated that the makers have apparently planned a three-month schedule to finish the production by November since they have locked May 31, 2024 as its release date.
Keerthy Suresh was recently seen in Mari Selvaraj’s Maamannan alongside Udhayanidhi Stalin, Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu. Her upcoming projects are Bhola Shankar, Revolver Rita, Raghu Thatha, and Kannivedi, among others. Varun Dhawan on the other hand, is currently awaiting to release of his upcoming film Bawaal which is slated to premiere online this week.
