At the trailer launch event of Devara Part-1, Jr NTR opened up on what’s in store for the audience in the film.
After RRR, Jr NTR is gearing up to set the screens ablaze with Koratala Siva’s upcoming spectacle, Devara. The high octane action film will be releasing in two parts. At the trailer launch event of the first chapter, the film’s leading man, Jr NTR spoke about how the film’s team has worked hard on the grand action sequences, adding that a lot of time and effort went in making sure that it matches the global standards.
The ‘Temper’ actor said, “Devara is an action drama, which is extremely high on action. Saif Sir will agree with me that there were some physically strenuous action sequences which we have been a part of. Solomn who had worked on RRR as well, has extensively worked on the underwater and over-water sequences in the film.”
Jr NTR further revealed that they shot for about 38 days underwater and about 60 days over water for Devara. He shared that Koratala Siva narrated him this ‘phenomenal idea’ of the film before the release of RRR. On being asked if there is any particular sequence that he is most excited about, the Telugu star said that it was impossible for him to choose one, but went on to share how he hated the scene where he is seen riding a shark.
Jr NTR said, “I am sure Karan Sir (Karan Johar) will agree that the last 40 minutes of the film is going to rock you all. I can’t wait for the people to watch the vision of my director. There’s also that sequence of me riding on the shark. I hated shooting for it. It took a lot of time. I was in a 200X150 tank, which was about five and a half fee. It took almost one day to get it right.”
Devara- Part 1 also stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead and marks the Telugu debut of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. The film is slated to release on September 27, 2024.
