Vidya Balan reacted to the success of her latest release, Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
Vidya Balan’s spooky act as Manjulika in Priyadarshan’s 2007 psychological horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 won critical acclaim and awards. 17 years later, the actress returned back to this popular franchise with Anees Bazmee’s which hit the theatrical screens in Diwali this year.
Co-starring Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri and Madhuri Dixit, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 opened to mostly positive reviews, and is currently enjoying a good run in cinema halls. The horror comedy has collected Rs 181.26 crore in 8 days at the national box office.
In an interaction with Indian Express, Vidya reacted to her film’s success.
The actress said, “The film is doing so well, I am loving it. It is my biggest to date. Can this get any better?”
She also mentioned that she never imagined the film will perform this good at the box office.
“Better than I could have imagined and honestly I had not imagined this. I never imagined that after 17 years I would do a Bhool Bhulaiyaa again and bring back to life Manjulika. I had not imagined that I would get so much love for it. I am very happy, I am so happy that the film is doing so well,” she was quoted as saying by the publication.
Prior the film’s release, Vidya in one of her interviews, said that she took up Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 because she was looking to do something fun and entertaining, and she totally loved the script of this film when she read it.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 revolves around a conman exorcist Rooh Baba (Kartik Aaryan) who is called by a royal family in Rakht Ghat to drive away a 200-year-old spirit, Manjulika from their spooky palace.
