Neeta revealed that when Aishwarya walked onto the set wearing a lavender gown, the entire place went silent.
Subhash Ghai, the director, was so struck by the way the gown shimmered under the lights that he stopped the choreography mid‑rehearsal. He turned to choreographer Saroj Khan and told her that the song would begin with Aishwarya’s back. This wasn’t planned at all—the camera angles, lighting, and dance had to be reworked on the spot.
Neeta explained that clothes can sometimes speak louder than words. In this case, the lavender gown told the story of Mansi, Aishwarya’s character, even before she spoke a single line. “Sometimes the most powerful dialogue in a film is worn and not spoken,” she said.
