Shraddha Kapoor admitted that people on the sets of her debut film ‘Teen Patti’ were not ‘nice’ to her.

Shraddha Kapoor made her acting debut with Leena Yadav’s Teen Patti (2010), headlined by Amitabh Bachchan, Ben Kingsley, R Madhavan and Raima Sen. In a recent interview with a magazine, the ‘Aashiqui 2’ actress reflected upon her early struggles in the film industry.

Recalling her experience on her debut film, Shraddha shared how she hit a low, just a few days into the shoot, and told her mother that she won’t go back to the sets.

The actress told Cosmopolitan, “I remember on the second or third day, I had a breakdown and told my mom I didn’t want to go back, and I didn’t understand this world since I had never AD’ed on a film set and was just 20 or 21.”

She continued, “People were not always very nice cause if you were a ‘somebody’, you would be suddenly spoken to in a different way, and if you were a nobody, you would be treated like that. I could see all this and felt sad about it.”

Shraddha admitted that her first film felt far more challenging than my second one, where she was more confident and realised that if someone doesn’t know something and is a little lost, one should be kind to them.

Despite a stellar cast, Teen Patti upon its release was a box office disaster. The film follows the story of a disgraced maths professor who reimagines the game of ‘teen patti’ through his theory of probability. Shraddha essayed the role of Aparna, a studious geek in the film.

After Teen Patti, Shraddha featured in the teen drama, Luv Ka The End, followed by her first breakthrough film, Aashiqui 2 which catapulted her to fame.
