Shehnaaz Gill, in a recent interview, shared how the Punjabi film industry had completed cut her off.
Actress Shehnaaz Gill rose to fame when she appeared in the popular reality show, Bigg Boss 13. After featuring in a couple of Punjabi movies and music videos, she is now all geared up to make her big debut in the Hindi film industry with Salman Khan-Pooja Hegde’s upcoming Eid release, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
Recently, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Shehnaaz looked back at her journey and recalled two struggling moments which she says, she would never forget.
Shehnaaz recalled how she cried after she wasn’t invited to the premiere of one of her Punjabi movies while the rest of the cast was. However, she didn’t reveal the name of the film that she was referring to.
The actress said, “For my Punjabi film’s premiere, everyone was called, but not me. They asked me to come, and then cancelled. After watching the film, I saw the cast posing for photographers as I left the theatre. I remember crying as I sat in my car, wondering why was I not called, when everyone else was.”
She further continued, “I have struggled a lot. Punjabi film industry had cut me off completely. But as they say ‘Those who have no one, have God’. I have God. It is all Karma.”
Shehnaaz Gill made her debut in the Punjabi film industry with Sat Shri Akal England in 2017. She also starred in Kala Shah Kala, Daaka and Honsla Rakh. Now, all eyes are set on her upcoming Hindi feature film. Speaking about Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, besides Shehnaaz, the Farhad Samji directorial has an ensemble cast which include names like Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh Daggubati, Jassie Gill, Palak Tiwari, Bhumika Chawla, Raghav Juyal and Siddharth Nigam.
