Sharvari shared that she had auditioned for a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film and had even got shortlisted. Here’s what happened next.

Before making her big screen debut with Bunty Aur Babli 2 alongside Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji and Siddhant Chaturvedi, Sharvari worked as an assistant director to esteemed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. But do you know that she was originally supposed to debut on the big screen with a film helmed by the ‘Devdas’ director?

This revelation was made by the ‘Munjya’ actress in a recent chat with News18 Showsha. Sharvari recalled, “I was supposed to do a film with Sanjay sir’s production house. I had auditioned for that and had gotten shortlisted, We did a couple of workshops and then there was a bit of pause on that film because of some technical reasons. They had to figure something out and rework on the script.”

The ‘Maharaj’ actress further went on to narrate how she ended up bagging the job of an assistant director at his production house instead.

“In that interim, I asked them if I can assist with them. At that time, Bajirao Mastani was also on floors and I requested if I can be an intern on that one. They obliged and were very happy to give me that job,” Sharvari told the news portal.

On being asked if she has spoken to Bhansali in recent times after her string of recent impressive big screen acts, the actress shared, “I haven’t gotten the opportunity to chat with him recently. But I really I hope do. I’ve never told him that I want to be his heroine. I’ve expressed it everywhere but not to him. One day, I hope my dream comes true.”

Sharvari was last seen in John Abraham’s action flick, Vedaa. Her next is Shiv Rawail’s Alpha co-starring Alia Bhatt.
