Shah Rukh Khan, at the success press conference of Jawan, made a promise to his fans that he would keep working hard to make them happy. He also said that he has become more of a gentler and selfless actor than he was.
Shah Rukh Khan is currently in a very happy space as his latest release Jawan is shattering box office records and how. The Atlee directorial is his second massive success this year after Pathaan which also earned big bucks at the ticket windows.
At the success press conference of the film held in Mumbai, the Bollywood superstar admitted that his break from the big screen for three years had made him ‘nervous’.
SRK said, “I was nervous (initially) because I had not worked for a while and for me to get back on a set, after a period of three years, itself was very new. I was feeling very different.” He recalled how his elder son Aryan would motivate him to go on set when he took a break before Pathaan and Jawan.
“My elder son told me, ‘When we were growing up, we knew what stardom in the air feels like because your films were big hits. The daughter (Suhana) says I know it. But this little one (AbRam) knows you’re a star, but has never seen or felt it in the air. So next 5 films, please work very hard. He’ll feel it in the air. He’ll love you, respect you,” King Khan recalled his conversation with Aryan.
The actor said that now, after the success of Pathaan and Jawan, he is looking forward to his third release of the year, Dunki, and after that, he wishes to keep delivering films that would make his fans happy.
Talking about his upcoming projects, Shah Rukh shared, “I am not trying to show off, but God has been kind. We had Pathaan, and God has been even kinder with Jawan. We started with January 26, Republic Day, (Pathaan release), it’s a good, auspicious day and then we came on Janmashtami on Lord Krishna’s birthday (with Jawan). Now, we have New Year coming, and on Christmas, I’ll bring Dunki. Saare national integration rakhta hoon, waise bhi jis din meri film release hoti hai, uss din Eid hoti hai. (I keep national integration in mind, and anyways, the day my film releases, it is Eid).”
He added, “I will keep working hard. I feel good when I see people happy watching my film. I’ve become more of a gentler and selfless actor than I was. Earlier, I was selfish about doing good roles. Now, I want to make people happy. God has been too kind to me, and my family, and I’m very grateful for whatever is happening.”
The Bollywood star further promised his fans that he would ‘try and work harder’ and asked them to pray for him that he gets every film right.
