Radhika Madan shared that she put so much stress on herself that she fell sick and gave her ‘worst audition’ for Student Of The Year 2.

Radhika Madan, who became a household name with Colors’ popular soap- Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi, made a successful transition from the small screen to films with Vishal Bhardwaj’s Pataakha in 2018. Soon, the actress carved her own space here with powerful performances in films like Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota, Angrezi Medium, amongst others.

But, not everyday is sunshine and rainbows. It’s normal for actors to feel anxious before an audition, and Radhika faced something similar before auditioning for Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year 2. Recently, in an interview with Filmfare, the ‘Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo’ actress recalled how she ended up giving her ‘worst audition’ for this film when she fell ill due to her anxiety.

The actress said, “I got a very big audition… It was for Student of the Year 2. I psyched myself so much. I was preparing so much, it wasn’t even a two-page scene, I’d read it in my sleep as well. I psyched myself so much that I got sick before the audition. I had a fever, I had a cold, and I gave the worst audition of my life. I was so anxious.”

Eventually, Student Of The Year 2 got made with Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria in leading roles.

Radhika said that unpleasant experience was a turning point for her. She realized that her anxiety was limiting her, and so she decided to take a different approach.

“That day I promised myself that I am never going to feel this way, that I don’t want to be in a limbo and feel this anxious in my life,” she told the publication. Two weeks after her ‘worst audition’, Radhika’s new way of thinking helped her to bag her debut film, Pataakha.

“I got the audition for Pataakha. I was told that it was Vishal Bhardwaj’s film, and I said, ‘He is not going to take me anyway, I will go there and live my life,” the actress recalled.

On the work front, Radhika was last seen in Akshay Kumar’s Sarfira. The film received a lukewarm response at the box office.
