Debutant Palak Tiwari spoke about why didn’t follow into her mother Shweta Tiwari’s footsteps and joined the television industry.
Palak Tiwari, daughter of popular television actress Shweta Tiwari, is all set to make her big screen debut with Salman Khan-Pooja Hegde’s upcoming film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan helmed by Farhad Samji.
Prior to this, she had featured in music videos like ‘Bijlee Bijlee’ and ‘Mangta Hai Kya’. She also worked as an assistant director for Salman Khan-Aayush Sharma starrer Antim: The Final Truth.
Recently while speaking with a leading publication, Palak revealed why she chose to do films instead of pursuing a career in television.
The actress told ETimes, “I would never dare to say anything about television that has a negative connotation because where I am in life today or whatever I have achieved today, be it my house or my car or money for my education, all has been given to us by TV. So, I owe everything to TV.”
“However, why I didn’t explore that medium was simply because my mother did everything that had to be done and the inevitable comparisons were going to be there either way. So, I thought I might as well do something new instead of doing something that she has already done and excelled at.”
Palak further added that the thought of being an actress came to her even before that she realised that her mother is an actress.
Talking about Palak’s debut film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, the film is slated to hit the big screens on April 21. Besides this ensemble film, Palak also has Sanjay Dutt’s upcoming movie, The Virgin Tree in her kitty.
