Krithi Shetty, in a new interview, revealed the reason why she had to let go of Bala’s upcoming film, Vanangaan after shooting it for 17 days.
Bala’s upcoming Tamil film Vanangaan has been the talk of the town ever since its announcement. The movie was earlier supposed to feature Suriya in the leading role.
However, in December last year, director Bala revealed that the Tamil superstar has opted out of his film since he wasn’t suitable for the story after a few changes were made in the script. Post his exit, it was reported that Arjun Vijay has been roped in to play the male lead.
Now, we hear that Krithi Shetty who was also a part of Vanangaan has exited the project. The Shyam Singha Roy actress confirmed this development in an interview with Galatta Plus.
Revealing the reason behind her exit, Kriti shared, “Actually, I shot for the film for 17 days. Unfortunately, now, I couldn’t be a part of the film because I didn’t have dates. For a long time, we had to stop filming. Again, when they asked for dates, I had asked for permission and signed another film… actually, I signed a few films. But they exactly wanted these dates again, so I, unfortunately, could not do it. I wanted to work with Bala sir and I am looking forward to working with him in the future.”

She further continued said, “It (Vanangaan) was one of my best experiences ever. In my career, this was the best experience. They said there was a creative difference and I think that is what it was. Because, I was on set and I saw the rapport and the love between Bala Sir and Suriya Sir and the admiration they had towards each other. So, there is no way it can be anything else.”
Currently, Krithi is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film, Venkat Prabhu’s Custody in which she is paired opposite Naga Chaitanya.
