Salman Khan’s Eid release, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan had a good opening weekend despite receiving mixed to negative reviews.
Like every year, this year too, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan gave Eidi to his fans with his latest release, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Helmed by Farhad Samji, the film is reportedly a remake of Ajith’s Tamil hit, Veeram.
Upon its release, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ka Jaan received mixed to negative reviews from the critics and the audience. As a result of this, the film had a lukewarm opening of Rs 13 Crore. However, over the weekend, the Salman film managed to bounce back in theatres and minted some impressive figures at the box office.
According to a report in Sacnilk, the Salman Khan-Pooja Hegde starrer collected around Rs 26.25 Crore on Day 3. Earlier, this action entertainer had grossed Rs 13 Crore on Day 1 and Rs 25 Crore on Day 2. The total net three-day box office collection now stands at Rs 64.25 Crore.

Speaking about directing a big star like Salman Khan, director Farhad Samji had told Indian Express in an interview, “Salman Khan’s stardom is so huge it does play on your mind. His fans are also like bouncing boards. You have to leave no stone unturned and play all your cards accordingly because that pressure is there. Whenever you direct Salman Khan, you need to be aware that the chair you are sitting on shouldn’t be the director’s chair but the seat of a cinema hall.”

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan marks the Bollywood debut of Shehnaaz Gill and Palak Tiwari. Besides them, the Salman Khan-Pooja Hegde film also stars Venkatesh Daggubati, Bhumika Chawla, Jassie Gill, Raghav Juyal, Vinali Bhatnagar, Jagapathi Babu and Vijender Singh.
