Superstar Salman Khan’s family entertainer, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is slated to hit the big screens this Friday (April 21, 2023).
This week sees the release of Salman Khan’s much-anticipated film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan which is helmed by Farhad Samji. Currently, the team is busy with the promotions of this mass entertainer. Khan whose name has become synonymous with Eid releases since last many years, continues to maintain this trend in 2023 as well.
If the buzz is to be believed, the advance booking for this Salman Khan starrer is decent so far. A Bollywood Hungama report stated that Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan had sold around 14000 advance tickets for day one at the three major national multiplex chains by Tuesday (April 18).
Going by this trend, the multistarrer is expected to mint around Rs 15-20 Crore on its first day of release. On the other hand, trade analyst Ramesh Bala has predicted an opening day of Rs 20-25 Crore.
He was quoted as saying by Bollywood Life, “Since it’s an action movie, like a mass masala entertainer, expecting it to open well. It’s Salman, the genre is good, and the holidays are there, so yeah, I’m hoping it opens big.”
Speaking about the star-driven vehicles this year, so far, only Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan has emerged as an undisputed hit with a collection of Rs 543.05 Crore at the Indian box office. It needs to be seen whether Salman Khan’s upcoming release succeeds in smashing this record.
Salman’s last big hit at the box office was Ali Abbas Zafar’s 2017 espionage thriller, Tiger Zinda Hai. His later theatrical releases- Race 3, Bharat, Dabangg 3 and Antim: The Final Truth failed to meet the expectations of the audience and underperformed at the ticket windows. Only time will tell if the Bollywood star manages to strike gold this time!
Coming back to Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, the film, reportedly based on Ajith’s Veeram, also features Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh Daggubati, Shehnaaz Gill, Bhumika Chawla, Raghav Juyal, Jassie Gill, Siddharth Nigam and Palak Tiwari.
