Kareena Kapoor Khan opened up on the reason why the women in the Kapoor family didn’t work in movies earlier. She also spoke about how her father Randhir Kapoor changed with times and supported her sister Karisma when she chose to join the film industry.

Hailing from one of the most illustrious families in Hindi cinema, Kareena Kapoor Khan has established herself as a popular star. Her great-grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor had an incredible body of work to his credit and her grandfather Raj Kapoor is often referred as the ‘Greatest Showman In Indian Cinema’. However, the women in the Kapoor family always stayed from showbiz.

However, Bebo’s elder sister Karisma became the first woman from the family who not only decided to become an actress but also made her name for herself in Bollywood.

Explaining the reason behind the same, Kareena said that back then, those times were different. The actress explained, “Back in the 1970s and stuff, it was different because times were different. That’s also important, and not live in archaic times.”

Speaking about her sister Karisma breaking the glass ceiling,  the Jaane Jaan actress admitted that it was harder for her and added that her father changed with the times and encouraged her and her sister to pursue a career in acting.
