Kangana Ranaut opened up on launching newcomers and outsiders in the Hindi film industry. The actress also shared that she is keen to work with Avneet Kaur again who stars in her upcoming production Tiku Weds Sheru.
After impressing us with her power-packed performances on screen, Kangana Ranaut is now making her debut as a producer with the upcoming film Tiku Weds Sheru. Bankrolled under her banner ‘Manikarnika Films’, the romantic comedy features Nawazuddin Siddiqui opposite Avneet Kaur known for TV soaps like Ek Mutthi Aasmaan and Chandra Nandini.
Though Avneet has previously starred in films like Mardaani and Qarib Qarib Singlle, Tiku Weds Sheru marks her first full-fledged role as the leading lady.
Recently while interacting with the media at Tiku Weds Sheru press conference, Kangana was asked about launching an outsider and newcomer like Avneet Kaur in her debut production.
In response, the actress said that she isn’t focusing on capitalism as a producer, and instead wants to focus on genuinely bring talent and outsiders in the film industry.
Kangana said, “Yes, I want to work with Avneet Kaur again but I haven’t done any three film contracts which is a very common practice with any newcomers, and to take up a huge percentage of their brands, events and films for the rest of their life. I don’t want them to bow down and come to me or control their life. There is no such thing like who she should date or what she should wear or work with.”
