Fahadh Faasil, in a new interview, opened up on why he doesn’t go heavy on promotions when it comes to his films. He said that he wants the audience to talk for his work.
Fahadh Faasil has established himself as one of the talented performers in Indian cinema with his impressive body of work. Recently, the actor made his debut as a producer with Dhoomam in which he also acted alongside Roshan Mathew and Aparna Balamurali.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Fahadh opened up on why he doesn’t promote his movies in a conventional way and instead believes in word of mouth by the audience. He said that instead of wasting his energy on promotions, he would invest the same in making the film better.
The Vikram actor was quoted as saying by the publication, “I want the audience to talk for my films. I have worked on a film for 100 days. I find it tiring to sell the film after that. I would rather put that energy into making the film than promoting it. If the film is good, people will watch it. I don’t want people to watch my bad films.”
In an age where most of the celebrities are active on social media, Fahadh has managed to resist the temptation of being a part of it despite pressures from all quarters.
“I never had a social media account. I was on Facebook in my college days and that’s all. I prefer to connect with people on a personal basis than on social media. I have always been like this, and I don’t want to change,” the Kumbalangi Nights actor told the portal.
Speaking about Fahadh’s latest release, Dhoomam, the psychological thriller revolves around a man who wakes up with no memory and has to piece his past together.
Meanwhile, Fahadh has some interesting projects up next for release which includes Mari Selvaraj’s Maamannan and Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2.
