We bet you didn’t know this interesting trivia about Amitabh Bachchan-Zeenat Aman’s 1978 blockbuster film, Don.

“Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi namumkin hai.” This dialogue is just enough for you to guess the film that we are talking about!

Released in the year 1978, Chandra Barot’s crime action thriller, Don is still remembered for its charismatic star cast, nail-biting acting scenes and celebrated dialogues. Amitabh Bachchan’s swag and Zeenat Aman’s fiery screen presence added more to the madness on screen.

Remember the scene in the film where Amitabh Bachchan’s Don meets Zeenat Aman’s Roma for the first time and impressed with her fighting abilities, says, “Mujhe junglee billiyan pasand hai”, only for the actress to reply back with just a “Thank you”?

Well, you would be surprised to know that these two stars didn’t share the frame together in this sequence. This revelation has been made by Krishna Gopalan in his book, ‘The Making Of Don’.

While Amitabh Bachchan shot his dialogue on a staircase at the plush Sea Rock Hotel in Mumbai, Zeenat filmed her part at Mehboob Studios. The two scenes were then merged together at the time of post-production.

Besides this iconic dialogue by Bachchan, the famous ‘Main Hoon Don’ song was also shot in Sea Rock Hotel as director Chandra Barot wanted to give his film a slick look and his stars some privacy.

Written by Salim-Javed with music by Kalyanji-Anandji, Don is one of Big B’s landmark films.
