Diljit Dosanjh, in a new interview, shared that his main focus will always remain singing and explained why he feels that acting isn’t his forte.

Beside enthralling us with his songs, Diljit Dosanjh has also worked as an actor in films like Udta Punjab, Soorma, Arjun Patiala, Good Newwz and the recently release Crew to name a few.

Recently in a conversation with Film Companion, Diljit had a surprising revelation to make! The actor revealed that despite his successful foray into acting, he believes that this craft isn’t his forte.

The ‘Honsla Rakh’ actor shared, “I believe that acting is not my forte; it’s a distinct craft. I feel I lack the necessary qualities to be an actor. If an opportunity arises that aligns with my skills and interests, I do consider it, but my main focus is on playing music.”

Further, Diljit also admitted to having its moments of self-consciousness on camera.

“I often lose awareness of the cameras being there. This is just second nature to me. However, when I do become conscious of them, I feel like I’m being insincere and superficial. The chaos of the set, the crew, and the equipment can sometimes contribute to this feeling of inauthenticity. Those actors who can navigate through all of this are truly remarkable”, he said in his interview.

On the work front, Diljit will next be seen in Imtiaz Ali‘s upcoming Netflix film, Amar Singh Chamkila alongside Parineeti Chopra.
