Sara Arjun auditioned on this key scene from Dhurandhar 2 and bagged the role of Yalina in the Ranveer Singh starrer.

Sara Arjun has caught everyone’s attention with her powerful performances in Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar 2. Even in a Ranveer Singh‑led film, she managed to stand out, proving herself as one of Bollywood’s most promising young talents.

Do you guys know that Sara was chosen for this role through a long audition process? Casting director Mukesh Chhabra opened up on the same in a recent chat with The Hollywood Reporter India.

He shared that he was looking for a fresh face- someone who wasn’t already linked to many films. Out of thousands of girls who auditioned, Sara impressed him the most. Chhabra shared, “When I saw Sara Arjun, I went mad.”

He revealed the scene that won her the role was the same one that appears in Dhurandhar 2. In it, Sara’s character confronts Ranveer Singh about being an Indian agent. That moment was originally her audition, and her powerful performance convinced the team she was perfect for the part.

Further, in the same interaction, Mukesh Chhabra said that he has a very unique way of looking at actors. He revealed, “I don’t think about acting. I only think about casting for my character. If the acting is not that great but the actor is correct for my part, I will go with that actor.”

For him, the challenge is not just about finding someone who can act well, but someone who feels right for the character; someone who can inhabit the role naturally.

When it came to Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar 2, Chhabra wanted to cast every single person who appeared on screen, whether they had one line or a full scene. With his team of eight assistants, he spent two years auditioning and casting over 300 people.

Dhurandhar 2 is currently having a blockbuster run at the box office. With the latest release breaking records, the franchise, helmed by Aditya Dhar, is now seen as one of the most bankable spy‑thriller series in Indian cinema.
