23 years after its release, the romantic comedy is also set to re-release in cinema halls on August 30. Meanwhile, the film’s leading lady Dia Mirza, in a recent chat with OTT play was asked about why there has been no sequel to this hit flick yet.
In response, Dia cheekily said, “I guess we are not old enough yet.”
Previously, R Madhavan who played the role of Maddy in RHTDM had cleared the air on the film’s sequel in a tweet by saying that he has no clue about the sequel yet. However, he had also added that he has his fingers crossed and hopes that someone has the right script which will be age appropriate for the actors.
Helmed by Gautam Menon, Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein is a remake of his Tamil blockbuster Minnale which featured R Madhavan, Reema Sen and Abbas in leading roles. Madhavan reprised the role of the male lead in the Hindi version. The film revolves around Maddy (Madhavan) who impersonates Rajeev (Saif Ali Khan) to woo his love interest Reena played by Dia Mirza.
