Anil Kapoor, at a recent event, spoke about the only regret he has in his life. The actor’s latest release, The Night Manager Part 2 is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
Anil Kapoor, who has been in the movie business since four decades, has always managed to enthrall the audience with his memorable performances. From romance, thriller to comedy, the Bollywood star has dabbled with different genres and emerged with flying colors. However, despite his illustrious filmography, Kapoor has a ‘regret’ in his life.
Recently, at the press conference of Disney+ Hotstar’s The Night Manager, the Ram Lakhan actor shared that the ‘only regret’ in his life is not being to do enough theatre in his career. Anil told reporters, “I did only two plays, and I wish I had done more. It is a great experience to be live in front of the audience. Till now, it remains one of the bucket list elements in my career.”
The actor further shared that he got close to director Feroz Abbas Khan for a play which never took off. However, they ended up doing a film, Gandhi, My Father (2007) instead.
Anil said that there is so much to learn for him in acting and one lifetime is not enough to do that.
“My eyes were too small (to convey) expressions. I was too hairy. I did not have a great physique. (In this profession) you just keep on working on your minus points and try to improve yourself as much as you can,” the actor recalled at the event.
Anil said that he considers himself lucky to have worked with so many different people, adding that he has also teamed up with the same directors, actors, and actresses on multiple projects. The actor revealed that he is still friends with them, adding that it’s pointless if one doesn’t trust people in life.
The Bollywood star said that while he completely trusts his directors, sometimes, ‘betrayals’ do happen which hurt him. Kapoor revealed that he is someone who doesn’t hold any grudges against anybody and moves on quickly.
Meanwhile, Anil has been receiving rave reviews for his role of the dreaded arms dealer Shetty Rungta in The Night Manager Part 2 co-starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Sobhita Dhulipala.
