With three back-to-back releases this year and one of them (Munjya) turning out to be a money spinner at the box office, Sharvari has plenty of reasons to say cheers. Besides that, the actress has already started filming for her next- Yash Raj Films’ first female-led spy universe film, Alpha alongside Alia Bhatt.

In a chat with News18 Showsha, Sharvari expressed her excitement over being a part of this high-octane action film, and spoke about how she is confident that this film will ‘break glass ceilings’.

The ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ actress said, “I think it’s an incredible time to be an actor where you get to be a part of something like Alpha. It’s headlined by women and they’re doing action and that makes it a one-of-a-kind film. I’m super excited and truly grateful to be a part of it, firstly because the film stands for what it does and secondly, the fact that I get to work with Alia. That’s a big dream come true. And so far, the shoot’s going great. It’s a lot of fun!”

Further, Sharvari also opened up on how she bagged Alpha. The actress revealed that she auditioned for this film much before she kickstarted the first shooting schedule of her horror comedy, Munjya. Back then, she wasn’t aware that the audition was for Alpha.

The actress recalled, “I remember I had just finished Maharaj and I was doing a couple of other projects. I met Adi (Aditya Chopra; producer) sir and he wanted to audition me in the action space. So, I did an extensive action audition. I went to an action class and did two months of training. I didn’t know what the film was called. All I knew is that it was a part of an audition that I had to train for.”

Helmed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha features Alia Bhatt and Sharvari as intelligence agents who set out on a mission to neutralize a global threat. Rumour has it that Hrithik Roshan might make a cameo appearance as his War character Kabir in this film.
