Alia Bhatt addressed her limited screen time in the recently release trailer of her Hollywood debut Heart Of Stone which also stars Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan.
After establishing herself as one of the most sought-after actresses in Hindi cinema, Alia Bhatt is now gearing up to conquer the west with her Hollywood debut, Heart Of Stone which has her sharing screen space with Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan.
The makers unveiled the action-packed trailer of this Netflix film on Sunday (June 18) at Netflix’s global fan event TUDUM in Sao Paulo, Brazil. After watching the sneak-peek, while some fans speculated whether she is playing the main antagonist in the film, there were a few who were upset that the trailer contained only a few glimpses of Alia.
Alia addressed her limited screen presence in the trailer while speaking with Mid-day from the event. The Brahmastra actress said, “Woh toh hoga hi (That will happen), adding that she’s not too worried about that. Explaining the reason behind the same, Alia shared, “I feel at the end of the day you have to get a sense of what the story is about and how the story leads you to the final film. That’s all that matters.”
Further, the Bollywood star told the same publication, “It was a very special film in the first place to be a part of. I shot it at a very exciting time when I was feeling like it was a nice time for me to break into another language, into Hollywood as you say. But it was a lot of fun and I met a lot of interesting people.”
Thanking the film’s director Tom Harper, she revealed that she has already watched the film and it’s come out even better than what she’d imagined.
On the other hand, Gal Gadot who was also a part of the same event was all praise for the Gangubai Kathiawadi star. She said, “I’ve been a fan of Alia from much before. I’ve seen RRR. We were looking for someone who looks fresh, has the ability to portray layered characters, and could look beautiful. And Alia was the perfect choice.”
Interestingly, Alia Bhatt’s international debut will release on Netflix, the same day as Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial Animal which features her actor-husband Ranbir Kapoor.
