Alaya F talked about how social media has been a ‘blessing’ for actors.

Alaya F, who made her acting debut with Saif Ali Khan-Tabu starrer Jawani Jaaneman, certainly knows how to bring her A-game on when it comes to social media. From nailing Instagram challenges to dropping workout videos, her relatable content is a hit with netizens.

Recently, in a chat with Hindustan Times, Alaya said that after the release of her debut film, the pandemic brought the world to a standstill. That’s when social media came handy for her to stand relevant and visible, and remind people of her existence.

Speaking about how social media is a blessing for actors, the ‘Freddy’ actor mentioned, “You don’t need to do films just for money, you can do it for passion because you have social media to take care of the money aspect.”

Alaya’s last release, Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was a box office disaster.

On being asked how she dealt with that failure, the actress said, “In this industry, your circumstances, positioning and reality keeps changing. So, the only constant in my life is change and I have gotten a lot more comfortable with it now. Initially, it used to make me anxious and get me under the pressure of being in this race of proving something. But now, I have become calmer about it. I want to make more thoughtful choices now.”

While Bade Miyan Chote Miyan missed the mark, her other, Srikanth alongside Rajkummar Rao brought in not just praises but even big bucks at the box office.

The actress recalled how everyone on the sets of that film was ‘easy, respectful and talented’, and all heart, and added that it felt fulfilling when the audience received the film in the same way. She said that she felt proud when Srikanth did well as she loves an underdog story and roots for it.

“I still feel like an underdog all the time but it’s great as everyone loves an underdog story. I have so much yet to prove and to show, and that makes me really excited for the whole journey,” Alaya was quoted as saying.

On the work front, the actress is yet to announce her next project.
