Aamir Khan’s ‘Taare Zameen Par’ co-star Girija Oak shared an incident involving the superstar from the sets of the 2007 film in a recent interview.
There is a reason why Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is addressed as ‘Mr Perfectionist’ when it comes to his professional life. Recently, in a interview, Girija Oak who shared screen space with him in the 2007 film Taare Zameen Par narrated an incident from the sets which proved how passionate Aamir is about his work.
While speaking with Lallantop, the actress recalled how despite being injured severely while filming a sequence with her, he barely cared about it and focused on the next scene.
Calling him a ‘hyper-aware’ person, Girija said, “He was also directing the film for a short span. But my portion was all directed by him. So, there was a sequence where we were chatting while planting a seed. While doing it, the corner of the sickle pierced through his hand, and it started bleeding profusely.”
The actress said that while others on the set panicked after looking at his bleeding hand, Aamir barely cared about his injury and was engrossing in managing the next scene that he was supposed to shoot for the film.
“Someone held his hand and was doing the dressing. But Aamir was busy with deciding the next scene. He wasn’t bothered with that cut, but everyone else was quite scared. After the dressing was done, he asked to resume the shoot. I was amazed how, despite being hurt badly, he was at the seventh level of awareness. He was running around and checking the monitor for camera angles, he was doing his lines, and he was directing also. So, that’s the person he is,” Girija said in her interview.
Further, the actress said that she found Aamir and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘passion’ for work similar. She told the portal, “Aamir and Shah Rukh are different people temperamentally, but I feel their passion for their work is almost similar.”
Girija recently featured in a prominent role in Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster film Jawan.
