SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion shattered box office records and took the Indian film industry by storm upon its release. The film’s leading men- Prabhas and Rana Daggubati became extremely popular among the audience with their respective characters.

Besides these two stars, the ambitious project also featured Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj. Speaking about Tamannaah, the actress essayed a minor yet important role in this Prabhas starrer. The actress played the role of Avantika, Amarendra Baahubali’s love interest.

In a recent interview with Film Companion, the Babli Bouncer actress talked about why she couldn’t cash in on the stupendous success of the Baahubali franchise unlike her male co-stars.

Tamannaah said, “I feel like in action films, still the credit is always given to the male counterparts.” However, the actress believes that ‘it’s fair’ for her male counterparts in Baahubali to get the kind of attention they did.

”I think it’s fair that what the film did for Prabhas and Rana Daggubati is different from what it did for me, because the amount of the part I had was also like that,” she told the publication in her interview.

Reflecting more on herself, Tamannaah opined that she did not fathom just how big Baahubali had gotten. The actress said that although she wished that she could have leverage the film’s success more, she is grateful for the love and response that she received for the SS Rajamouli directorial.

Citing the reason behind the same, she said that that she wasn’t that evolved as a person adding that she wasn’t in the right mental state to soak in her success to the fullest.

Workwise, Tamannaah is currently gearing up for the release of her Amazon Prime Video series, Jee Karda.
