Bhagyashree made her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in Sooraj Barjatya’s 1989 romantic drama, Maine Pyar Kiya. While the film was a huge commercial success at the box office, it also turned the actress into an overnight sensation. Decades later, Bhagyashree is still remembered for her portrayal of Suman in this film.

However, in a recent interview with a radio channel, the actress revealed that even after delivering a massive hit like Maine Pyar Kiya, she suffered from inferiority complex.

While speaking with Radio Nasha, when Bhagyashree was asked what she would like to tell her younger self, the actress replied, “Be more confident’. She admitted that back then, she wasn’t confident and would constantly be worried whether she was doing things the right way.

The Paayal actress admitted that she had inferiority complex and continued, “Even after Maine Pyar Kiya, I was feeling like I wasn’t good enough.”

In the same interview, Bhagyashree also opened up about why she chose motherhood over her journey in films. The actress said that she felt like she wasn’t capable enough at the time to handle everything.

“I was too young at the time and in my opinion, I did not have the capability where I could look after myself, look after my family, also look after the kids. I had just gotten married. Abhimanyu was born just a year after that. I think I was too young to handle all these responsibilities together,” the actress told the radio channel.

After gaining immense popularity with her debut film, Maine Pyar Kiya, Bhagyashree was flooded with film offers. However, after starring a few films, the actress chose to step away from the limelight after tying the knot with her beau, Himalaya Dassani. However, she soon returned back to showbiz.

Bhagyashree was recently seen in a cameo in Salman Khan-Pooja Hegde’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. She is now gearing up for her upcoming release, Bellamkonda Sreenivas starrer Chatrapathi.
