The news is out that Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan heartthrob Parth Samthaan is all set to enter the iconic crime show CID 2. One hears that the actor will play the new ACP on the show after the shocking death of Shivaji Satam’s character ACP Pradyuman on the show.
While the internet has a divided opinion on this new development, Parth, in a recent interview, opened up on this entry in the show. The actor made a candid confession that he had initially rejected the offer to star in CID 2.
In a chat with Hindustan Times, the “Initially, I rejected the role of ACP Ayushmaan, because I don’t relate to it. But the makers asked me to reconsider. I was also hesitant due to the show’s long-standing cast and the fact that they’d have to address me as ‘sir’ on screen. It felt a bit unusual and awkward.”

When asked about the backlash on social media against him for replacing veteran actor Shivaji Satam, Parth said that he is rather focus on the positive feedback and excitement surrounding his return to the small screen.
“I was waiting for the right opportunity to make my comeback on TV. I was offered a few scripts, but they were all similar, romantic roles. When this show was offered to me, I decided to take on the challenge,” he told the publication.
The Kasautii Zindagii Kay actor also opened up on balancing other commitments with the TV show.
He shared, “The team is very cooperative, and if any conflicts arise, I discuss it with the producers.”
Parth was last seen in Binoy Gandhi’s film Ghudchadi co-starring Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon and Khushalii Kumar.
