Vaani Kapoor opened up on why she decided to foray into digital world with Gopi Puthran’s upcoming series Mandala Murders.

Vaani Kapoor, known for films like Shuddh Desi Romance, Befikre and War, is now all set to make her highly anticipated debut on the digital platform with the upcoming crime thriller series Mandala Murders. Helmed by Gopi Puthran of Mardaani 2 fame, the series is bankrolled by Yash Raj Films.
Recently, Vaani shared her excitement over making her digital debut with Mandala Murders and working with filmmaker Gopi Puthran.
The actress said, “I was looking for something really clutter-breaking for my foray into OTT. I’m thrilled to be working with a mind like Gopi Puthran for Mandala Murders, a gritty crime thriller series that has pushed me to work my hardest in genre I’ve never attempted before.”
Vaani shared that she had to draw all her learnings and experiences as an actor to portray her character in the series authentically. The War actress said that she embraced the challenge head-on, tapping into her vast repertoire of skills to bring the vision of the makers to life. She added that the series pushed her as an actress to deliver a performance that she hopes, will be appreciated and loved by the audience.
Speaking about the same, Vaani said, “I have always been an actor who has never taken any shortcuts when it comes to my craft because I respect the art of film-making and the purity that one needs to have towards acting. Mandala Murders has truly pushed me as an actor to deliver a performance that will hopefully be appreciated  and loved. I had to tap into all the learnings that one had so far to deliver the vision that the makers had for my character and the project. I’m neck deep into the shooting of Mandala Murders currently and looking forward for the series to grip people’s attention.”
On the film front, Vaani Kapoor will last seen in Ranbir Kapoor starrer Shamshera.
