Triptii Dimri reacted to getting trolled for her dance moves in her recently released ‘Mere Mehboob’ song from Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.

The makers of Vicky Video Ka Woh Wala Video recently dropped a song, ‘Mere Mehboob’ featuring the film’s leading lady Triptii Dimri in a glamorous avatar, shaking a leg with her co-star Rajkummar Rao.

When the video song dropped online, the netizens expressed their disappointment over Ganesh Acharya’s ‘distasteful’ choreography especially the portion where Triptii is seen lying on the floor and lifting a leg in a circular motion before raising her torso and shaking. Some even slammed Triptii for her poor dancing skills.

In a recent interview with Hollywood Reporter India, the ‘Animal’ actress reacted to all the backlash she received for this song.

On being asked if she could tell while filming the song if there was something amiss, Triptii said, “Not really. As an actor, I’m trying to do different things. First, I thought that you only need to know acting to be an actor, and you’re sorted. When things got real, I realised that when you’re offered shows, you should know how to walk properly, when you get offered a dance number, you should know how to dance well…”

Calling herself a ‘work in progress’, the actress said that she is keen to try everything. She also emphasized that making mistakes and learning from them is a part of the game, and that it (criticism) shouldn’t stop one from experimenting.

“But one can’t be good at everything. But what’s wrong in trying? You have to give it your best; you’re here now. I didn’t realise (while shooting). It was my first dance number, I haven’t really done one like this before. And I didn’t think that it would get the kind of response that it’s getting. But it’s fine; it happens to everybody. There are things that people like, there are things that people don’t like. But that doesn’t mean that you stop experimenting,” she said in her interview.

She also told the host that she was in awe of her co-star, Rajkummar Rao’s ability to perform challenges scenes, just as she was awed by Vicky Kaushal’s when they worked together on Bad Newz.

Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is helmed by Raj Shandilyaa. The film revolves around how a young couple find themselves in the midst of pandemonium when their VHS tape containing an intimate moment goes missing. The entertainer is slated for a box office clash with Alia Bhatt’s Jigra on October 11.
