Sreeleela who is all set to take her career to a notch higher by gearing up for some exciting roles spilled the beans about her future projects in her recent interview.
In a conversation with Bombay Times, the ‘Skanda’ actress who has already carved a niche for herself with her versatile performances, expressed her fascination with historical roles.
Sreeleela said, “Roles-wise, I think I’m interested in historical roles. History excites me, along with anything fresh.” This passion for exploring the past has led her to take on a project where she’ll be stepping into the shoes of a historical character. “So, think big, dramatic costumes, and lots of intense dialogue,” she hinted at a grand and ambitious storyline.
In addition to this period drama, the actress also shared that she’s working on a modern-day romantic comedy. “Another one is a modern-day rom-com, which is always so much fun to shoot,” Sreeleela told the publication.
This lighthearted genre contrasts sharply with the intense and serious nature of her historical role, showing the actress’s ability to navigate both drama and fun with equal flair.
While Sreeleela is keeping the specifics of these projects under wraps, she did reveal that one of her goals is to “explore a different side of myself or even do something that’s not exactly me.” She spoke about the thrill of stepping out of her comfort zone and taking on roles that challenge her as an artist. The actress has signed multiple projects that are yet to be announced.
Sreeleela gained popularity after starring alongside Mahesh Babu in ‘Kurchi Madathapetti’, a song from Guntur Kaaram that went onto become a chartbuster.
