Shahid Kapoor, in a new interview, admitted that he once broke down on a film set after a ‘heartbreak’.

Shahid Kapoor had a candid confession to make in one of his recent interviews! The actor shared that he once broke down on a film’s set due to ‘heartbreak’.

In a chat with  Faye D’Souza for her Youtube channel, Shahid was asked if he has ever wept in a room alone because of his career.

In response, the ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ actor revealed, “That only happened to me when I went through heartbreak. And, sometimes it happens when you are making movies. So, I have had that. It was really bad. My makeup guy was like, ‘I just finished your makeup! Can you just not?’”

Further while explaining his state while speaking in a weeping tone, Shahid continued, “‘I can’t help it, I think I am destroying myself’. I have been through those but not for work.”

In the same interview, the Bollywood star also addressed the one thing that he believes men need to change in their lives.

“Indian men especially, have been kind of told from a very young age that you have to be the provider, that you have to protect and be the man of the family. Its there in men, when you are always worried that whatever I love, I must protect it. Sometimes, it can put a lot of pressure on you. Sometimes, you just want to relax and be like, ‘I don’t have to keep worrying about everything and everybody all the time and I can just maybe be vulnerable and let somebody else protect me’, ” Shahid said in his interview.

He added, “Why can’t we flip roles sometimes? You can feel like that and its fair to feel like that because eventually everybody is human. We feel all kind of emotions. A lot of men find it difficult to express their vulnerable side and I think because I am an actor, maybe I am comfortable because its a part of what I do. I have to be able to get to that place which is vulnerable and expressive. When you are an actor, you also understand that vulnerability is extremely attractive. Aggression cannot attract people the way vulnerability does. Its only human to be vulnerable, so as a man you should be okay with it.”

On the professional front, Shahid Kapoor will next be in the upcoming action thriller Deva alongside Pooja Hegde. The film marks the Hindi directorial debut of Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews.
